One thing Ihave noticed in recent years is the decline in Arnotts biscuits since they were bought out by the all-consuming Americans.

Once upon a time, Mint Slices were covered from edge to edge in minty goodness before the chocolate layer was applied. Now you can see the edge of the stingy little smear a full 3 mm short of the edge of the biscuit itself.

Chocolate Montes? The chocolate layer is so thin, I think somehow they have perfected the process of coating a biscuit with chocolate vapour[/i].

Where the Nice was once coated in a layer of sugar, you can now almost count the grains.

And that old favourite Scotch Finger - well they somehow managed to foul that up by adding a layer of chocolate to that didn't they? (I think this one has been discontinued though)

One thing I just can't understand...

Ooooooh WAGON WHEELS!! I use to LOVE Wagon Wheels - I had to cure myself by eating 13 of them all in a row and now I cant touch them anymore - oooow but have you had the pink marshmallow chocolate royales? BLOODY NICE!! They have all the best bits of a wagon wheel but with more mallowy yummyness.

I use to eat toffee apples alot as well when I was little - where have they gotten to?

Now my favourite lust from long ago is Dunkin Donuts that use to be on George St opposite the movies. Unfortunately the nearest Dunkin is in New Zealand where I have been known to travel to for 3 days just to sit in a hotel room watching Deadliest Catch and Monster Garage on Foxtel while scoffing Dunkin Donuts. You have to go out every 3 hours for top ups because they start getting overly moist and not so perfect.

Now we have strawberry pancakes Miss Georgie so all is not lost!

Days before all these shopping centres where even built and you had to park in the main street and walk into the shop.

When shops where only open Mon-Fri and Sat morning and no Thursday night shopping.

When the person in the store would go out of their way to help you.

The small corner shop where they new by your first name. Drive into the local service station to have someone come out and fill the car for you plus check under the bonnet.

Last of all what did you do before age of the computer!    

And.....is it just me or are giant sandwiches not so giant anymore??

I remember the giant sandwich being the "ducks nuts" of ice creams, these days it rates as a fraction of its former glory.

Time for a royal commission i thinks!!!
